What Rachel Helps With

What Rachel Helps With

Meltdowns & Outbursts

Understanding what is driving big emotions and giving you calm, connected strategies to help your child through them and build regulation over time.

Power Struggles & Boundaries

Warm, consistent boundaries that give a testing toddler the security they are actually seeking, without the daily battles.

Neurodivergent Support

Respectful, individualised support for children with ADHD, autism and sensory processing differences, and their families.

Our Approach

Our Play-Based Approach

Children learn, regulate and connect through play, and our approach is built around that reality rather than working against it. Instead of rigid rules and consequences, we focus on connection, understanding what a behaviour is communicating, and warm, consistent boundaries that help a child feel secure.

This is particularly important for neurodivergent children, where a one-size-fits-all approach so often fails. We take the time to understand your specific child and family, then build strategies that genuinely fit, respecting who your child is while helping them, and you, through the hard moments.

Behaviour & Sleep

How Behaviour and Sleep Connect

Behaviour and sleep are deeply linked, and improving one often improves the other. A poorly slept toddler has far less capacity to manage frustration, transitions and big feelings, while the boundary testing and anxiety of the day frequently resurface at bedtime as their own source of disruption.

Where the two are intertwined, we address them together, building the sleep foundation and the behavioural strategies as one plan. That combined approach tends to produce the most complete, lasting improvement for the whole family.

Questions

Toddler Behaviour FAQ

What does a toddler behaviour consultant help with?
Our behaviour specialist helps with meltdowns and emotional outbursts, power struggles and boundaries, and the behavioural side of sleep. She also supports families of neurodivergent children, including those with ADHD, autism and sensory processing differences, using a warm, play-based approach.
Do you support neurodivergent children?
Yes. Rachel has genuine experience supporting neurodivergent children and their families, including ADHD, autism and sensory processing differences, always with a respectful, individualised, play-based approach rather than one-size-fits-all behaviour management.
How is behaviour connected to sleep?
Sleep and behaviour influence each other in both directions. Poor sleep worsens emotional regulation, tantrums and transitions, while daytime behavioural patterns often resurface at bedtime. We address both together where they are intertwined.
What is your approach?
Warm, respectful and play-based. We work with your child's temperament and your family's values rather than imposing rigid rules, focusing on connection and consistent, kind boundaries.
What does a consultation cost?
A behavioural support consultation is $220. Book online and we will arrange your session.
When to Reach Out

Signs It Might Be Time for Support

Every toddler has hard days, and not every meltdown needs a specialist. It is worth reaching out, though, if the difficult behaviour feels relentless rather than occasional, if bedtime and sleep have become tangled up with the behaviour, or if you are finding it genuinely hard to know how to respond in the moment.

For families of neurodivergent children, support can make an especially big difference, because so much generic advice simply does not fit. Wherever you are, there is no threshold of struggle you need to reach first. If you would value warm, expert guidance for the behavioural side of the early years, that is reason enough to book a session.
